This system is a high performance external cladding support system for stone. The mullions have been developed bearing in mind that the section should be strong enough to reach spans of up to 4 meters without an intermediate support.
The typical system depth ranges from a minimum of 150 mm to a maximum of 330 mm. The stone cladding is supported by horizontal members that span across multiple vertical mullions.
Stone panels are fixed with a clip, which can be moved to the side in order to remove the panels.
The horizontal members are located according to the stone panel joints (height of the stone panels).
Locations of vertical mullions are independent of vertical joints allowing spacings to be set for maximum economy and efficiency.
In order to avoid rainwater stagnation and any other moisture, the horizontal members are drilled on site to make a weep-hole in midpoint between each two mullions.
Mullions shall be anchored to the structure using an extruded anchor assembly, designed to provide adjustment in all directions.
